Who are you?

 

    My name is David and I am a 25 year old crossword constructor based in Philadelphia. I am not the guy in this video...

  ...although he did provide me inspiration for the title of the blog. I am not affiliated with any Canadian discount grocery store.  I am, however, a longtime solver and a relatively new constructor, who is hoping to get more involved in the community at large. 

What can I expect from Dave's No Frill Fills?

 

    I will be posting easy/medium difficulty themed puzzles, hopefully on a semi-consistent basis. I think the puzzles are pretty good, but I really haven't shown them to anyone, so feedback of any kind is encouraged - if nothing else so I don't feel like I'm shouting into the void.

Why no themeless puzzles?

 

    Like I said, I'm a pretty new constructor. I made a themeless puzzle once, but it had SEERESSES in the bottom-right corner holding up a nine-stack. Maybe this will change, but at the moment I have no plans to foray into themeless construction.  Too hard.
